What “HD” means on X
X stores several copies of every video at different resolutions. HD means 720p (1280×720) or Full HD 1080p (1920×1080). Vertical videos have the same pixel counts, just rotated.

Where the files go on Steam Deck
In Desktop Mode, downloads go to /home/deck/Downloads, reachable from the Dolphin file manager.
A downloaded clip can become a custom startup movie once converted to WebM and copied to ~/.steam/root/config/uioverrides/movies.
