How to download an X live stream

Some creators turn replays off. If a finished stream has no replay, there’s nothing left to download.

Can I download a live stream that is still going?
Yes. Press Record under the quality you want. SaveXClips saves everything from that moment until you press “Stop and save” or the broadcast ends.
Can I download X Spaces?
Not yet. Spaces are audio rooms that use a different system. Live video broadcasts and their replays are supported.
Why does a long replay take a while?
A broadcast is delivered in thousands of short pieces. SaveXClips fetches them and joins them into one MP4 in your browser, so the time depends on the stream’s length and your connection.
Why does it say the post has no media?
The post only contains text or a link card. SaveXClips can download videos, GIFs and photos attached directly to a post.
Can I download videos from private (protected) accounts?
No. Protected posts are only visible to approved followers, and SaveXClips doesn’t bypass that.
