How to use it on iPhone
- Copy the post linkIn the X app, open the post with the video, tap the Share icon under the post and choose “Copy link”.
- Open SaveXClips in SafariGo to savexclips.com in Safari on your iPhone. Any modern browser works; Safari is just the default.
- Paste and press DownloadPaste the link into the box at the top of this page. SaveXClips finds the video and lists every available quality.
- Save the fileTap the quality you want. Safari asks “Do you want to download…?”. Tap Download and the arrow icon in the address bar shows progress.
What is a video thumbnail?
Every video on X has a poster frame, the still image shown before you press play. It’s usually chosen automatically from the video, sometimes set by the uploader.
SaveXClips shows the thumbnail next to every video result, with a button to download it as a full-size JPG.
Where the files go on iPhone
Safari saves downloads to the Files app, in iCloud Drive › Downloads (or On My iPhone › Downloads if iCloud Drive is off).
To move a video to the Photos app, open it in Files, tap Share and choose “Save Video”. It then appears in your Camera Roll like any recording.
